Rocky Mountain National Park is a U.S. National Park Service unit in CO (NPS unit code ROMO), built around Trail Ridge Road's traverse of the Continental Divide and the alpine tundra at the top of the eastern Rockies. The busiest month is July and the quietest is February; winter visits run at roughly a seventh of July's peak because Trail Ridge and Old Fall River Road close through the high country for most of the year. In 2026, timed entry runs May 22-October 12 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. for the general park and through October 18 from 5 a.m.-6 p.m. for Bear Lake Road.
