Bryce Canyon National Park is a U.S. National Park Service unit in UT (NPS unit code BRCA), built around the high-elevation Paunsaugunt Plateau and the dense amphitheater of red-rock hoodoos that drop below the rim between 8,000 and 9,000 ft. The park recorded 1,967,367 recreation visits in 2025 and runs a 5-year mean of 2,277,195 annual visits. The busiest month is June and the quietest is January: winter visits run at roughly 10% of June's peak because the rim sits in deep snow, Sunset Campground closes for winter, and the Fairyland and Paria View spur roads close to vehicles for the entire winter season. Bryce Canyon is a designated International Dark Sky Park.
