Choose a tent site in the appropriate loop. Sites allow up to three tents, six adults and ten people total, within the designated site boundaries.

Cars, vans and RVs
RVs use North Loops A and B or Sunset Loop A. Vehicles longer than 20 feet cannot use North C/D or Sunset B/C.
Groups and backcountry
Sunset has a group site for up to 30 people. Overnight backcountry trips use designated sites and need a separate permit.

Tents and RVs
$30 per campsite per night for either setup. This is one of the parks that explicitly publishes equal tent and RV rates.
Eligible pass discount
Senior, Access, Golden Age and Golden Access passes receive 50% off camping fees. Annual, Military, Volunteer and fourth-grade passes do not.
Group site
Sunset’s group site has a sliding fee based on group size. Confirm the total for your party before booking.

North Campground
The published 2026 schedule uses reservations up to six months ahead throughout the year.
Sunset Campground
The published 2026 schedule uses reservations up to 14 days ahead. Sunset closes in winter; check the dated schedule before booking.
Accessible sites
Sunset sites 223 and 224 use the park’s request process by mail or campground phone. Ask the host about any unreserved accessible site.
Know the camp rules
Plan for the park’s normal camping rules. Official conditions carry restrictions for your travel dates.
Cold nights
North is the year-round campground. Tent loops and facilities have seasonal limits; use the schedule and weather context before choosing a month.
Food storage
Keep food and trash inside a vehicle or hard-sided lockable container.
No hanging tents or hammocks
Hammocks and other items may not be suspended from trees. Portable showers and toilets are prohibited.
Camping outside the park
Compare the park’s gateway areas first, then confirm nearby campground seasons, fees and equipment rules with the operator.

Bryce Canyon City
Stay near the UT-63 park approach. The county directory includes camping; check the operator’s dates, especially in winter.
Tropic
A Bryce Valley base east of the park on UT-12. Drive back to UT-63 to enter the park; a nearby canyon trail is not a vehicle entrance.
Panguitch
A US-89 base west of the park. Reach the park via UT-12 and UT-63. Allow for winter weather on the approach and verify your chosen property’s dates.
