What does camping cost?
Compare the price and charging unit for your setup. The booking total depends on the selected site, travel year and applicable fees.
Individual sites
$25 per campsite per night. This is a site fee, not a per-person or universal RV surcharge.
Group sites
Canyon Wren: $75–$160 per group site per night. Juniper Basin: $100–$250 per group site per night. Price depends on group size.
Backpacking
$7 per person for the permit. This is separate from a Devils Garden campsite reservation.

How to book Arches camping
Choose the campground, site type and travel dates before opening the booking page.
March to October
Reserve on Recreation.gov. Standard sites release six months ahead at 10 am Eastern; group sites can be booked 12 months ahead.
November to February
Individual sites are first-come, first-served. Download the Recreation.gov app before arrival for Scan & Pay.
Backpacking
Pick up the required permit in person at the Backcountry Permit Office south of Moab, up to seven days before your trip.

Know the camp rules

Food and wildlife
Store food, cookware, toiletries and trash in your vehicle or a latched hard-sided container.
Designated sites
Parking areas are not overnight campsites. Keep vehicles on the paved or gravel portion of your reserved site.
Water and showers
NPS says drinking water is available at Devils Garden. Bring a reserve; the Published amenities differ with the public water guidance. No showers are provided.
Camping outside the park
Compare the park’s gateway areas first, then confirm nearby campground seasons, fees and equipment rules with the operator.

Yes. Devils Garden has individual campsites for tents and two group sites. Group sites prohibit RVs and trailers.
How far ahead can you book Devils Garden?
Standard sites open six months ahead at 10 am Eastern for March through October stays. Group sites open 12 months ahead. Individual sites are first-come, first-served November through February.
Is camping free in Arches?
No. Individual Devils Garden sites cost $25 per night. Backpacking requires a separate $7-per-person permit.
