Two vehicle passes match the annual pass
Two separately purchased vehicle passes cost $70, matching Yosemite annual admission. Eligible residents can spend $10 more for America the Beautiful coverage at other federal recreation sites.
Half Dome has its own permit
Day hikers need a Half Dome permit when the cables are up. A Half Dome day-hike permit does not include camping; backpackers need the wilderness permit process.

Standard private entry only. Children under 16 do not pay individual entrance or nonresident fees. Annual-pass estimates assume no existing pass; they cover one private vehicle or the holder plus three adults on foot. Motorcycle estimates cover up to two motorcycles and four people. Where to buy your pass
Choose the park’s accepted payment method, keep the pass or tag ready, and bring any required proof of eligibility.
Pay when you arrive
Yosemite accepts major credit cards and mobile payment services at its entrances. Cash is not accepted. Private-vehicle visitors pay the vehicle fee, plus applicable nonresident charges.
Keep your pass and ID together
Show valid photo ID with an America the Beautiful pass. For a resident annual pass, bring proof of U.S. citizenship or residency.
Digital or physical pass
A digital America the Beautiful pass can be saved to your phone and used immediately. A mailed physical pass may take three weeks; the order receipt does not replace it.
Separate activity fees
An entrance pass does not replace a Half Dome permit or wilderness reservation. Each has its own application and per-person charges.

Does an America the Beautiful pass cover Half Dome?
It covers park entrance, not the separate Half Dome permit or application fees.
Can I pay the Yosemite entrance fee in cash?

Can backpackers add Half Dome to a wilderness permit?
