Five-month releases

Upper, Lower and North Pines, Wawona and Hodgdon Meadow release reservations five months ahead on the fifteenth, at 7 am Pacific. Check North Pines’s separate lottery information.

Can you sleep in a car in Yosemite?

Only in an appropriate campsite you are registered to use. Vehicle sleeping is prohibited at Camp 4 and outside designated campsites.

How much does Yosemite camping cost?

Published standard sites cost $24–$36 per campsite per night. Camp 4 charges $10 per person per night. Group, horse, wilderness and lottery costs are separate.

How do you get a site at Camp 4?

Camp 4 uses Recreation.gov reservations one week ahead during its reservation season, with seasonal first-come camping outside that period. Check the official page for exact dates.

Why are there thirteen NPS campgrounds but sixteen Recreation.gov listings?

Recreation.gov lists the horse camps at Wawona, Bridalveil Creek and Tuolumne Meadows separately. NPS includes them within its thirteen campground locations.
