Yellowstone and Grand Teton charge separately
One seven-day vehicle pass at each park totals $70. A resident federal annual pass costs $80, so this pair alone does not make it cheaper for a single trip.
Winter passenger coverage differs
The standard snowmobile pass covers up to two snowmobiles and four passengers. Annual passes admit their signer on a snowmobile; on a snowcoach or shuttle, they cover the holder and three other adults.

Standard private entry only. Children under 16 do not pay individual entrance or nonresident fees. Annual-pass estimates assume no existing pass; they cover one private vehicle or the holder plus three adults on foot. Motorcycle estimates cover up to two motorcycles and four people. Choose the park’s accepted payment method, keep the pass or tag ready, and bring any required proof of eligibility.
Buy ahead or at the gate
NPS encourages buying before arrival, but each entrance station also sells passes. The five entrance stations accept cash and credit or debit cards.
Bring the pass and its holder
The annual pass holder must be present with identification. Yellowstone cannot accept a receipt or a picture of a physical pass in place of the pass itself.

Fishing, boating, and overnight backcountry camping have separate permits.

How much does it cost to enter Yellowstone?

Does a Yellowstone pass cover Grand Teton?
A Yellowstone-only entrance or annual pass does not cover Grand Teton. A valid America the Beautiful pass covers both.
Are Yellowstone entrance fees lower in winter?
The published vehicle, motorcycle, and per-person entrance rates do not have a winter discount. Snowmobile admission is $30 for seven days for up to two snowmobiles and four passengers.
Does a Yellowstone entrance pass include fishing?
No. Anglers 16 and older need a separate Yellowstone fishing permit. State fishing licenses do not replace it.
