One fee covers both parks
The vehicle pass covers Sequoia, Kings Canyon and the Hume Lake District. Do not budget a second entrance fee simply for visiting both parks in the same valid period.

Two separately purchased vehicle passes cost $70, matching the park annual pass. Eligible residents pay $10 more for America the Beautiful coverage at other federal recreation sites.

Standard private entry only. Children under 16 do not pay individual entrance or nonresident fees. Annual-pass estimates assume no existing pass; they cover one private vehicle or the holder plus three adults on foot. Motorcycle estimates cover up to two motorcycles and four people. Choose the park’s accepted payment method, keep the pass or tag ready, and bring any required proof of eligibility.
Cashless entrance stations
Ash Mountain and Big Stump entrance stations accept credit or debit cards. NPS also accepts digital payment methods for entrance fees.
Cash before the gate
The Sequoia Parks Conservancy stores at Foothills and Kings Canyon visitor centers sell the $35 seven-day vehicle pass for cash. Use those stores if you prefer cash.
A reservation confirmation is not the wilderness permit
Quota-season wilderness reservations must be picked up and validated at the appropriate wilderness office. Bring your confirmation and proof of identity.

Larger groups have different entrance charges. Wilderness permits are charged during the quota season and free outside it.

Can I pay cash at the Sequoia entrance?
