The Victoria route depends on a scheduled ferry. Check sailing dates, arrival instructions and fares before booking flights; the modeled route time cannot account for a missed departure.
Choose a base for your sights
NPS suggests Port Angeles or Lake Crescent for Hurricane Ridge and Sol Duc, and the Forks area for the Hoh Rain Forest or coast. Port Angeles is not the start of every Olympic visit.

SEA: bus to Port Angeles
NPS lists the Dungeness Bus Line from Sea-Tac to Port Angeles. Arrange onward travel separately; most of Olympic is not accessible by public transportation.
YYJ: check-in and border documents
Allow time for the airport-to-terminal leg, early ferry check-in and U.S. border processing. Confirm the operator’s ID requirements for every passenger, plus your rental company’s cross-border and ferry permissions.
Rental car: avoid cellular dependence
NPS warns that reception is poor in places such as the Hoh Rain Forest and beaches. Choose a rental vehicle you can unlock and start without cellular service.

NPS identifies Seattle–Tacoma (SEA). Our road route goes via Tacoma to the Port Angeles gateway: 127 miles, about 3 h before traffic or stops. Your final park destination may be much farther.
Can I fly into Victoria for Olympic National Park?
Yes, but YYJ is in Canada. The route here uses the Coho ferry to Port Angeles. Confirm sailings, early terminal arrival, border documents and any rental-car restrictions. Its modeled time includes the crossing but excludes waiting, check-in and border processing.
Do I need a ferry from Seattle airport to Olympic?
The SEA route shown here drives around Puget Sound via Tacoma and does not need a ferry. Washington State Ferries offer other approaches, but those are separate itineraries with their own schedules.
Can I get from Sea-Tac to Olympic without renting a car?
