Port Angeles
Use the north-side approach for Hurricane Ridge and Lake Crescent. Mountain access needs its own road and weather check.
Forks
A west-side base for coast and Hoh Rain Forest trips. These destinations use separate approach roads.
Hoodsport
Use the southeast side for the Staircase approach. This is a different base from Port Angeles or Forks.

Can I sleep in my car in Olympic National Park?

Vehicle camping is allowed only in authorized campgrounds. Choose a vehicle-compatible site; trailheads, pullouts and parking lots are not overnight campsites.

Are tent and RV campsites priced differently at Olympic?

NPS campground prices vary by location, generally $15–$24/site/night. Concession options have separate rates: Sol Duc campground sites are $33/night and its hookup RV Park sites are $58/night.

Which Olympic campgrounds have hookups?

Log Cabin Resort has full-hookup RV sites. Sol Duc’s separate RV Park has water and electric hookups. Check the specific booking category and vehicle size.

When can I camp at Staircase or Ozette?

Check the park’s campground page and current conditions for your trip dates. Staircase’s published reservation window is separate from its full operating season; Ozette access can be affected by winter flooding.
