Check the seasonal access and equipment decisions before fixing the route.

Things to do in spring

Choose a lower-elevation or high-country outing for the actual conditions.

Teton Park Road

Use the permitted spring road window for a walk rather than assuming ordinary car access throughout April.

Valley scenic pullouts

Use the outer highway’s designated stops for mountain views and wildlife observation. Keep well back from animals.

Taggart Lake area

Choose a trail only after checking its snow and footing; a spring road outing does not establish summer hiking conditions.
