Where the two lines connect.
The Springdale Line ends at Zion Canyon Village outside the park. Walk across the pedestrian entrance bridge to the visitor center, then board the Zion Canyon Line. The canyon bus reaches Zion Lodge and trailheads for Angels Landing, Emerald Pools, the West Rim Trail, and the Narrows. Check the official page for any closed stops.
When shuttle planning matters most.
Zion's five-year monthly visit average peaks in June. The schedule has its longest operating day from May 17 through September 12, which overlaps the busiest part of the visitor curve. Monthly data cannot tell you the wait for a specific bus, but it shows why a summer itinerary needs time for the full 90-minute canyon round trip.

Common questions.
Do I need a ticket to ride the Zion Canyon Shuttle?
No. The park shuttle and Springdale Line are free. You do not need a permit, ticket, or reservation, though you still need to pay the park entrance fee.
Can I drive up Zion Canyon before the first shuttle?
No. During shuttle season, Zion Canyon Scenic Drive stays closed to private vehicles before and after service hours. Winter is the usual private-vehicle season.
How long does the Zion shuttle take?
NPS says about 45 minutes from the visitor center to Temple of Sinawava. A full round trip takes about 90 minutes before waits or stops.
What happens if I miss the last Zion shuttle?
NPS warns that you may need to walk as much as nine miles back to the visitor center. Do not wait for the last bus, since it may also be full.
Where do I catch the Zion shuttle from Springdale?
Take the Springdale Line to Zion Canyon Village, walk across the pedestrian entrance bridge, and board the park line at the Zion Canyon Visitor Center.
