Before you join
Do I keep my copyright?
Yes. Accepted photos are shared under CC BY 4.0. Anyone may share and edit them, even commercially, if they credit you, link the license, and note changes. The license can't be revoked for anyone who follows it.
Could my photo be used elsewhere?
Writers, teachers, and publications may reuse accepted photos with your credit. Being featured is not guaranteed, and contributors are not paid.
What can I upload?
Your own photos of park features, scenery, or wildlife, as JPEG, PNG, or WebP up to 20 MiB each. No selfies, family photos, or close-up people. Small background figures are fine.
Do I need GPS?
No. We tag the park, place, and subject where we can. Not every photo gets an exact spot on the map.
Is every photo accepted?
No. A person reviews each one before it goes up, and some won't make it.
